Description
This two-day seminar deals with Brian Mulligan’s concept of the application of mobilization with movement (MWM), an evidence-based and effective approach in manual therapy. Seminar participants will receive access to an online preparatory program of learning. During the in-class skills component, you can expect a syllabus high on practical application with a clear understanding of the rationale for use of MWM’s in both the spine and upper extremities. Following this course, therapists should be able to effectively apply the techniques in their own practices and expect immediate positive patient outcomes.

Accredited Mulligan Concept teachers
Jim completed his BSc(PT) at Western University. He then earned a Diploma of Manipulative Therapy, a Masters of Clinical Science and a post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Jim is a fully accredited Jim is Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy and an accredited Mulligan Concept teacher. He has co-taught with Brian Mulligan internationally and independently since 1997.
Jack completed his BSc in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. He then spent six years in New Zealand where he completed the Post-Graduate Diploma of Manipulative Therapy in 1984 being the first non-New Zealander to do so. During this program he had the opportunity to be directly mentored by both Robin McKenzie and Brian Mulligan.
On returning to Canada, he went on to complete a Masters of Clinical Science at Western University in London and a Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of St. Augustine in the USA.
Jack is an accredited Mulligan Concept Teacher, holds an academic teaching position at the University of Toronto, and works clinically as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist triaging for fluoroscopy and ultrasound-and peripheral medical interventional procedures.
Participants will practice psychomotor skills on each other and act as models. Full consent will be required and all instructors and participants will adhere to appropriate professional standards. Participants may decline to participate in any or all activities should they so choose.
